Our Technology
Massive Imaging Solution Technology (MIST) tackles today’s massive image data problems elegantly, intelligently, affordably and securely. Leveraging a SaaS business model and extensions to standards-based compression and storage technologies, MIST allows users to:
-
Store, track, and manage all large “footprint” image data
-
Quickly view and download image data from anywhere using a browser
-
Collaborate in review and analysis
-
Adjust, register, segment images with Cloudpak image processing operations
-
Create and execute image processing operations on the Cloudpak public or private clusters
-
Publish result images and annotations
As a cloud based solution operated in a browser environment, MIST offers unprecedented access and ease of use. MIST requires no server hardware, IT staff, or difficult and time consuming installations, so users focus on image management and applications. MIST is instantly ready to go anywhere and in any environment:
-
Powerful Control and Search. Our solution allows users to control, tag, index, search, and readily retrieve stored image data in a way never before possible. Users take control of images and eliminate expensive IT infrastructure.
-
Storage. All Cloudpak solutions provide infinitely extensible storage and require no local computer clusters, though users are always able to use their own clusters if desired. Users simply spend less money, pay only for actual usage, and get dramatically better functionality and results.
-
User Customizable. Ultimately, our solution will also be readily and easily customizable. It is a fields driven data base solution allowing a user to design its own browser interface, to organize processing & analysis and automate workflow.
-
Image Compression. Our “secret sauce” is our proprietary understanding of image compression algorithms and pioneering work in the developing world of cloud computing. Based on the state of the art JPEG2000 compression, not only does Cloudpak compress two to three times better than jpeg but Cloudpak compression also readily handles multiple color channels with up to 16 bits of data. In addition, each Cloudpak image is stored in three different locations, meaning that you never need to worry about losing image data with Cloudpak.
