Geospatial image example

This example contains a single orthoimage for 20 counties in Washington state. The imagery was produced by The National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP), a cooperative program between Federal Agencies, provides orthoimagery of agricultural lands. The major product of this program is 1-meter resolution ortho-imagery that is produced and provided to crop compliance field staff.

This particular sample represents a single image that is 383,405 X 398,640 pixels, or a total of 152,840,569,200 pixels (152 gigapixels). The compressed size of this image is 20 GB. The uncompressed size is 458,521,707,600 bytes. This example is an excellent demonstration of the high quality of JPEG2000 compression.
