What is Cloudpak?
Cloudpak is a cloud-based service for hosting large and complex image data; the sort of image data that is captured by advanced microscopes, scanners, and satellites. Cloudpak users can store and share images of 500,000 X 500,000 pixels. Cloudpak users can store 3D images, time series, multispectral images and 16 bit/pixel image data. And because Cloudpak uses advanced technology based on standard JPEG2000 wavelet compression the image data can be highly compressed without losing visual fidelity.
Once saved on Cloudpak, Cloudpak users can annotate and share their images with anyone around the world. Images can be kept private, shared with specific Cloudpak users, or made public to anyone around the world. All at dramatically lower cost and trouble than having your IT group--or graduate students--getting involved.
